今日は宵山、明日は山鉾巡行　～祇園祭～




京都は今一年の中で一番賑やかな時期です。

なぜなら祇園祭があるからです。

7月1日から31日まで毎日どこかでイベントがあります。

ちなみに今日は前祭宵山、明日はメインイベントである山鉾巡業です。今晩は四条通と烏丸通は歩行者天国で様々な屋台がでて盛り上がります。

今から浴衣に着替えてお祭り見物に出かけませんか？



在京都七月是最熱鬧的一個月.您知道為甚麼嗎? 因為有祇園祭.

祇園祭是最大規模及最著名的祭典.整個祇園祭長達一個月,每天在哪裡有活動.在7月17日（前祭）和7月24日（後祭）則進行大型巡遊，京都的33個區，每區均會設計一個裝飾華麗的花轎參加巡遊. 今晚在四条通跟烏丸通有夜市

July is the most crowded month in Kyoto. Do you know why?

Because of Gion matsuri (festival) that goes for the entire month of July and is crowned by a parade, the Yamaboko Junko on 17th of July and 24th of July. It takes its name from Kyoto's Gion district. There is some of events in Kyoto every single day in July.

Kyoto's downtown area is reserved for pedestrian traffic on the three nights leading up to the massive parade. These nights are known as yoiyama on 16th of July and 23rd of July, yoiyoiyama on 15th July and 22nd of July, and yoiyoiyoiyama on 14th of July and 21st of July. The streets are lined with night stalls selling many foods.

999 Pure Silver Kettle 'Yokosuji'



999 Pure Silver Kettle Yokosuji
Good afternoon.
Today we will love to introduce our artwork that calls pure silver kettle ‘Yokosuji’.
The inspiration for this teapot design arises from the appearance of lovable taro plant. Kyoto Zuihodo has hammered into the layers the Yokosuji pattern, which looks like the taro skin. The techniques involved in the pot body occur at two different levels. The blank part on the top is like a taro that has just been peeled, and the fibre and spot patterns of taro can be seen. In ancient times, taro was an essential tribute in ritual worship, and it was also a symbol of high status and auspiciousness. Zuihodo hopes to inject elements of life into silverware, which will both provoke interesting thoughts in collectors and users and breathe an artistic perspective of living into traditional metalworking field.

Starting from a piece of sterling silver and using tools that have been passed down and retained from the Meiji era, the body of the silver pot is made by hammering with a conspicuous Yokosuji pattern and completely eschewing the welding method. The shape of its lower abdomen is round and full with the centre of mass on the top, slightly and gradually closing down on the way down. The lid is of the style with a special-shaped knob on it. Hammering tools are the patrimony of Meiji era and are made by repeating a trimming technique to meet the requirements for craftsman to create specific patterns for silver pots, so they can hammer the unique vein lines.

Using top-level, pure quality precious metals as materials and infusing traditional Japanese culture and jewellery and metal arts, every singular silver pot is homemade in Japan. Kyoto Zuihodo adopts the Japanese Samurai spirit which believes that no matter how hard the creative process is, or how long it might take, we can always overcome ourselves, hammering delicately to finish the most perfect works of art in our hearts and present them to collectors.

本日は純銀製芸術銀瓶「横筋紋」のご紹介です。
白銀の胴に美しく施された横筋模様。一枚の銀板を丁寧に打ち延べ成形します。へら絞りや、型で抜くものとは違い繊細さにあふれており、模様もひとつひとつ丁寧に打ち出していますので、唯一無二の素晴らしさを味わうことが出来ます。京都瑞鳳堂のこだわりすべてがこの作品に詰まっております。

今天我們為您介紹的是純銀製藝術銀瓶「横筋紋」.
外型以淘喜的芋頭為創作靈感來源，京都瑞鳳堂鎚打出層層的橫筋紋，猶如芋之外皮。壺身的工法擁有兩種不同的層次，頂端的留白就似剛脫去芋頭的外衣，可見芋頭內的斑點纖維。且在古代，芋頭為拜月祭神不可或缺的貢品，代表著地位與吉運。瑞鳳堂希望把生活的元素融入銀器中，讓收藏者及使用者增添更有趣的聯想，把生活藝術的視角注入傳統金工世界裡。

從一片純銀片開始，使用明治時期所傳承、保留下的工具，鎚打製出壺身與完美的橫筋紋，完全避免了焊接。此壺器身扁橢圓形，重心於上方，順下漸收，上盛式壺蓋。明治期所傳承下的鎚打工具，皆為當時的職人為了打造特定的銀壺紋路而一再修整而製，方能鎚打出獨有的紋理。

使用頂級、質量純粹的貴金屬為媒材，把日本傳統文化與金工藝術融為一體，每把銀壺皆為日本純手工製作，京都瑞鳳堂發揮日本武士精神，不論創作過程的艱難、耗費時間甚久，皆能戰勝自我，細膩地鎚打，為達心中期待呈現出最完美的藝術品給藏家們。

2016 京都瑞鳳堂日本藝術銀壺  太平洋SOGO台北忠孝館展 

京都瑞鳳堂保有日本傳統留下的金工技藝和銀壺藝術,除了在日本受到喜愛,近年來也受到茶文化影響之地如東北亞,歐洲的歡迎.在京都上京區的京都瑞鳳堂,就如同當地知名的西陣織一樣,仍保有數百年來受皇室,武士階級所喜愛最重要的元素:藝術 完美 歷史.

日本近代金工名家已故人間國寶-關谷四郎:「銀壺不單只是用銀材料把壺打出來就能稱之為銀壺.」這一句話來鼓勵從事金工創作的弟子及其他業界作家們

京都瑞鳳堂は日本の伝統技術である金工芸術、銀瓶の芸術作品をこの世に送り出してきました。近年は茶の湯の文化がアジアをはじめ欧米でも広く知られるようになりました。悠久の歴史が織り成す西陣より素晴らしく、完璧ともいえる歴史的芸術作品をお届けいたします。

日本近代金工作家の人間国宝故関谷四郎先生は「銀瓶は銀を材料として作った物をただ銀瓶と呼ぶのではない。」この様な言葉を弟子たちや業界の作家たちに遺しました。彼が伝えたかったことは、銀瓶などの金工作品の「打ち出す模様の表現を」を追求する精神を忘れるなという事。この様なこだわりがあるからこそ、関谷四郎先生から伝統や遺志を継ぎ制作した作品の数々は「心の奥まで温まる美しさ」と評価、称賛されているのです。

芸術作品のコレクター、お茶の愛好家の方々をはじめ、皆様に完璧なまでの日本の真なる銀瓶が茶の湯の文化にもたらす影響の重要性をお伝えできればと思います。

2016 Kyoto Zuihodo Japanese Artistic Silver Kettle in SOGO Taipei Zhong Xiao store Exhibition



Kyoto Zuihodo will participate in the Japanese Taste, Beauty and Craft Exhibition held in the Taipingyang SOGO Zhong Xiao store in Taiwan from the 26th of July until the 9th of August.



Mr.Shiro Sekiya, is Japanese modern metalwork artist (Living National Treasure). He has stated to his pupils and those in the metalwork industry, ‘You can’t call it Ginbin (silver kettle) just because it is made from silver as the most important thing when making metalwork is how expressive the artworks patterns are.’



Mr. Shiro Sekiya is very particular about patterns, and that is why our artwork following Japanese tradition and Mr.Shiro Sekiya’s ideals are highly praised as ‘the most beautiful Silver Kettle.’



The Japanese Taste, Beauty, Craft Exhibition, sponsored by Taipingyang SOGO department store Zhong Xiao Store, will be held from the 26th of July until the 9th of August. There, Kyoto Zuihodo will be presenting ‘Japanese beauty’ to you.

exhibition information ~The museum of Furuta Oribe~






Good afternoon. Here is a nice exhibition information.

The tea master of Tokugawa family: Furuta Oribe at The museum of Furuta Oribe in Kyoto. And the exhibition held on 21st of May to 11th of September. The museum is very close from Kyoto Botanical Gardens.


皆様こんにちは。梅雨明けにはあともう少しかかりそうな京都ですが、素敵な展覧会のご案内をいたします。古田織部美術館にて徳川将軍家 茶の湯指南 古田織部が開催中でございます。開催期間は9月11日まで。戦国時代から江戸時代初期にかけての武将、大名の古田織部は一般的に二代将軍徳川秀忠の茶の湯指南として有名。その古田織部ゆかりの茶道具の数々がそろう2014年開館したまだ新しい美術館で、是非とも茶の湯の世界をお楽しみくださいませ。

古田織部是戰國時代的武將.他集千利休茶道之大成,在茶器製作,建築,造園方面風格大膽且自由,帶動了安土桃山時代的流行文化「織部風」.
