千両ヶ辻

今日9月22日は京都瑞鳳堂のある西陣のお祭り、「千両ヶ辻」が開催されました。

千両ヶ辻の由来はその昔、西陣がまだ織物問屋として栄えていた江戸時代に、一日に千両の稼ぎが有った問屋がほとんどだったことから、「千両ヶ辻」と呼ばれるようになりました。
一両の価値は今の貨幣価値でいくらか？江戸時代も約260年も続いていましたので、一概にもいくらという事が言えません。つまり貨幣価値は江戸時代の中でも変わり、初期は一両10万円前後と言われていましたが、中期にはその半分、幕末には4千円から一万円ほどだったと言われております。

しかしながら、一番良かった時期でも一日一億円の売り上げの問屋が数あったというのですから、とてつもない場所だったという事は言うまでもないでしょう。

前置きが長くなりましたが、本日の「千両ヶ辻」はあいにくのお天気ではありましたが、朝の10時頃にはたくさんの観光客の方が訪れてください、普段はお目にかかることの出来ない重要文化財に指定されている町家の見学をしたり、この日の為に準備された西陣織の反物を購入されたり、多くの方がそれぞれの楽しみ方をされておりました。

そして、ここ西陣は晴明神社のおひざ元でもあり、今日は晴明さんのお祭り、「晴明祭」も開催され、御神輿が界隈を練り歩きました。晴明さんの前は昔でこそたくさんの屋台が出て、それは賑やかでしたが、近年は少し縮小されたものの、「千両ヶ辻」は年々盛り上がりを見せ、多くの方が訪れます。京都瑞鳳堂は大宮通沿いにはございませんので、「千両ヶ辻」への出展はございませんでしたが、ギャラリーの前をお子さんたちが可愛い衣装に身を包み、見事なお囃子を奏でていました。きっと一生懸命練習されていたんでしょうね！そのあとは大人の御神輿があり、雨の中西陣界隈を練り歩かれました。

年に一回のお祭りではありますが、西陣という古き良き町をこの様に活気づける事が出来るのはとても素晴らしい事ですね。来年は京都瑞鳳堂も何かご協力できたらと願っております。

999 Pure Silver Kettle Enkomon.

We would love to introduce our artwork which calls Enkomon today.

In Japanese, ‘En’ means relation, connection, bond or circle. For example family circle or circle of friends. Therefore ‘En’ is an auspicious word in Japan.

And ‘Enko’ means arc shape or circle.

Usually we adopt auspicious things as Japanese traditional artworks, because these are really important and valuable goods for our lives.

Starting from a piece of sterling silver and using tools that have been passed down and retained from the Meiji era, the body of the kettle is made by hammering with a conspicuous Enko pattern and completely eschewing the welding method. The shape of the lower abdomen of the kettle is round and full, slightly and gradually closing up on the way up. Hammering tools are the patrimony of Meiji era and are made by repeating a trimming technique to meet the requirements for craftsman to create specific patterns for silver pots, so they can hammer the unique vein lines.

Using top-level, pure quality precious metals as materials and infusing traditional Japanese culture and jewellery and metal arts, every singular silver pot is homemade in Japan. Kyoto Zuihodo adopts the Japanese Samurai spirit which believes that no matter how hard the creative process is, or how long it might take, we can always overcome ourselves, hammering delicately to finish the most perfect works of art in our hearts and present them to collectors.

日本では「えん」をとても大事にします。「円(お金)」であったり、「縁」であったり、そして「円(和または輪)」であったり・・様々な「えん」がございます。円の字が入った円弧紋は縁起のある模様として伝統的な物によく使用されます。京都瑞鳳堂でも皆様との縁を大事にしたいという想いを込めてこの円弧紋をご紹介いたします。

今天我為你們介紹的是純銀製藝術銀瓶「円孤紋」。

藝術作品與光線融合為一體，真正的藝術創作能夠操作光線與色彩。

壺身經過上萬次的鎚打，所保留的鎚目紋如同花辮綻放，就像繪畫的生動筆觸，賦予銀壺生氣，在純銀素材上展現生命躍動。佐以精確計算而出圓弧造型藝術，完美詮釋「活的藝術」。幾何圖形與光線結合創作，不讓作品流露出現實物品圖樣，不僅帶來多層變化，也留給欣賞者自我詮釋的空間，這種視覺觀來自日本傳統概念：提升眼界去欣賞大自然的本質，體驗自然的變化與萬物存在的精隨。

999 Pure Silver Kettle Arare

Today we will love to introduce our beautiful artwork which won an ‘OMOTENASHI Selection award 2016’ this year.

The pattern of Arare shines with the help of aged silver color as if small flake ice falls from the sky onto a huge rock in a valley. The picture is so breath-taking that one can hardly move his eyes away from this masterpiece. The knob on the tea pot lid stands a shy lily with a bud waiting to blossom in spring; the kettle handle forms a figure-eight knot which, in Japanese culture, is said to have human spirit in and is where the design concept comes from. The design conveys the sincerity to the receiver and collector.

Arare is made of a piece of pure silver by tools passed down from Meiji Period without welding. The tea pot is in a square shape like iron kettle, and its lid is also hammered to be of a sophisticated and unique Arare pattern. The hammering tools were refined by the craftsmen in Meiji Period in order to make particular patterns on silver teapots.

Using top-level, pure quality precious metals as materials and infusing traditional Japanese culture and jewelry and metal arts, every singular silver pot is homemade in Japan. 本日皆様に純銀製芸術銀瓶「霰」をご紹介いたします。

こちらの作品は本年度のOMOTENASHI Selection 2016を受賞したもので、大変美しい作品でございます。京都瑞鳳堂の作品は昔から受け継がれた制法を守るために、すべて99.9%の純銀を使用し、一枚の銀板を打ち延べ成形し、模様を施すなど全工程にわたり手作りで制作しております。純銀は水質をまろやかにする特性があり、実際に使用してお湯を沸かしたり、お茶を淹れたりしていただける様、使いやすさも十分に考慮し制作いたしました。

今天我為你們介紹的是 純銀制藝術銀瓶 霰形紋. 此作品今年獲得了OMOTENASHI Slection 2016.

古美色襯托霰形紋的耀眼,猶如眺望幽幽的山谷,霜霰飄落而降下的白色小冰粒,披覆在沉著的穹石上頭,美得令人癡醉.壺摘以靜待春日到來的百合,含苞待放的花蕾嬌嬈而佇立;最後以八字繩結的模樣作為提樑.在日本的文化中,認為繩結之處有人的靈魂,以送禮時的莊重而裝飾為創作概念,想傳達給收藏者與贈禮時的那份誠與意.

從一片純銀片開始,使用明治時期所傳承、保留下的工具,鎚打製出壺身與完美的霰形紋,完全避免了焊接.此壺器身四方如鐵瓶之壺形,沉穩內斂,壺蓋亦鎚打出精細的霰形紋.明治期所傳承下的鎚打工具,皆為當時的職人為了打造特定的銀壺紋路而一再修整而製,方能鎚打出獨有的紋理.

使用頂級、質量純粹的貴金屬為媒材,把日本傳統文化與金工藝術融為一體,每把銀壺皆為日本純手工製作,京都瑞鳳堂發揮日本武士精神,不論創作過程的艱難、耗費時間甚久,皆能戰勝自我,細膩地鎚打,為達心中期待呈現出最完美的藝術品給藏家們.

今日は宵山、明日は山鉾巡行 ～祇園祭～

京都は今一年の中で一番賑やかな時期です。

なぜなら祇園祭があるからです。

7月1日から31日まで毎日どこかでイベントがあります。

ちなみに今日は前祭宵山、明日はメインイベントである山鉾巡業です。今晩は四条通と烏丸通は歩行者天国で様々な屋台がでて盛り上がります。

今から浴衣に着替えてお祭り見物に出かけませんか？

在京都七月是最熱鬧的一個月.您知道為甚麼嗎? 因為有祇園祭.

祇園祭是最大規模及最著名的祭典.整個祇園祭長達一個月,每天在哪裡有活動.在7月17日（前祭）和7月24日（後祭）則進行大型巡遊，京都的33個區，每區均會設計一個裝飾華麗的花轎參加巡遊. 今晚在四条通跟烏丸通有夜市

July is the most crowded month in Kyoto. Do you know why?

Because of Gion matsuri (festival) that goes for the entire month of July and is crowned by a parade, the Yamaboko Junko on 17^th of July and 24^th of July. It takes its name from Kyoto's Gion district. There is some of events in Kyoto every single day in July.

Kyoto's downtown area is reserved for pedestrian traffic on the three nights leading up to the massive parade. These nights are known as yoiyama on 16^th of July and 23^rd of July, yoiyoiyama on 15^th July and 22^nd of July, and yoiyoiyoiyama on 14^th of July and 21^st of July. The streets are lined with night stalls selling many foods.

Good afternoon.
Today we will love to introduce our artwork that calls pure silver kettle ‘Yokosuji’.

The inspiration for this teapot design arises from the appearance of lovable taro plant. Kyoto Zuihodo has hammered into the layers the Yokosuji pattern, which looks like the taro skin. The techniques involved in the pot body occur at two different levels. The blank part on the top is like a taro that has just been peeled, and the fibre and spot patterns of taro can be seen. In ancient times, taro was an essential tribute in ritual worship, and it was also a symbol of high status and auspiciousness. Zuihodo hopes to inject elements of life into silverware, which will both provoke interesting thoughts in collectors and users and breathe an artistic perspective of living into traditional metalworking field.

白銀の胴に美しく施された横筋模様。一枚の銀板を丁寧に打ち延べ成形します。へら絞りや、型で抜くものとは違い繊細さにあふれており、模様もひとつひとつ丁寧に打ち出していますので、唯一無二の素晴らしさを味わうことが出来ます。京都瑞鳳堂のこだわりすべてがこの作品に詰まっております。

外型以淘喜的芋頭為創作靈感來源，京都瑞鳳堂鎚打出層層的橫筋紋，猶如芋之外皮。壺身的工法擁有兩種不同的層次，頂端的留白就似剛脫去芋頭的外衣，可見芋頭內的斑點纖維。且在古代，芋頭為拜月祭神不可或缺的貢品，代表著地位與吉運。瑞鳳堂希望把生活的元素融入銀器中，讓收藏者及使用者增添更有趣的聯想，把生活藝術的視角注入傳統金工世界裡。

從一片純銀片開始，使用明治時期所傳承、保留下的工具，鎚打製出壺身與完美的橫筋紋，完全避免了焊接。此壺器身扁橢圓形，重心於上方，順下漸收，上盛式壺蓋。明治期所傳承下的鎚打工具，皆為當時的職人為了打造特定的銀壺紋路而一再修整而製，方能鎚打出獨有的紋理。
